...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Tidal Potomac from Key Bridge to Indian Head MD...

At 458 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers and thunderstorms
capable of producing winds of 20 to 30 knots. These showers and
thunderstorms were located near Fort Hunt, moving southeast at 15
knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.
