...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR THE CENTRAL DISTRICT OF
COLUMBIA...EASTERN ARLINGTON...AND SOUTHEASTERN FAIRFAX COUNTIES AND
THE NORTHEASTERN CITY OF ALEXANDRIA IS CANCELLED...

The severe thunderstorm which prompted the warning has moved out of
the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for central and
southern Maryland.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 PM EDT
FOR SOUTH CENTRAL ANNE ARUNDEL...NORTHWESTERN CALVERT...SOUTHERN
PRINCE GEORGES AND NORTHEASTERN CHARLES COUNTIES...

At 853 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Clinton, moving
east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to
         fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage
         homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed
         trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured
         light objects may become projectiles.

Locations impacted include...
Waldorf, Clinton, Fort Washington, Forestville, Largo, Coral Hills,
Upper Marlboro, Andrews Air Force Base, Camp Springs, Oxon Hill,
Kettering, Walker Mill, Rosaryville, Friendly, Marlton, Temple Hills,
Marlow Heights, Seat Pleasant, Dunkirk, and Carmody Hills-Pepper Mill
Village.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for central and
southern Maryland.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
