...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTH CENTRAL BREWSTER COUNTY
IS CANCELLED...

The severe thunderstorm which prompted the warning has moved out of
the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
southwestern Texas.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM CDT
FOR WEST CENTRAL PECOS COUNTY...

At 649 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 23 miles northeast
of Marathon, or 31 miles south of Fort Stockton, moving southeast at
40 mph.

THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR WESTERN PECOS COUNTY.

HAZARD...100 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris may
         be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes
         will be destroyed. Expect considerable damage to homes and
         businesses. Expect extensive tree damage and power outages.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of west
central Pecos County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Midland.
