...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 AM CDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of North Mississippi, including the following
county, Tippah.
* WHEN...Until 1030 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 829 AM CDT, Heavy rainfall associated with thunderstorms
will continue to cause urban and small stream flooding this
morning. Most of the heavy rain has moved north and east of
the advisory area, but a few additional storms may move
through this area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Ripley, Gravestown, Falkner, Dumas, Peoples, Murry and
Whitten Town.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
