.DISCUSSION...Friday afternoon the general wind will be from the
west, but I expect the terrain provides some sheltering and causes
the wind to be more form the southwest, coming up the entrance
of the N. Umpqua river drainage. Rain amounts Friday day should remain
less than 0.1 inch, but overnight, between 0.05 and 0.15 inches is
realistic. This active showery pattern should prevent inversion
formation Friday night. High pressure builds in this weekend, with
warming, drying, east flow along ridges and valley flows at low elevations
under the inversions.
