  S of Currituck Beach Light NC to Oregon Inlet NC out to 20 nm...
  S of Oregon Inlet NC to Cape Hatteras NC out to 20 nm...
  Waters from Currituck Beach Light to Oregon Inlet NC from 20 to 40
  nm...
  Waters from Oregon Inlet to Cape Hatteras NC from 20 to 40 nm...

* Until 900 PM EDT.

* At 815 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Pea Island
  National Wildlife Refuge, or near Oregon Inlet, moving east at 25
  knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Ar160, Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge, Oregon Inlet, and
  Rodanthe.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
