Flood Statement

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Wisconsin...

  Baraboo River At Reedsburg affecting Sauk County.

.Rainfall has ended across the basin, with rainfall response minimal
so far tonight. Expecting a slow rise due to runoff through tonight
into Sunday morning, although latest forecasts indicate some
potential to not achieve flood stage. We will continue to monitor
for potential changes to the Flood Warning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY TOMORROW AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Baraboo River at Reedsburg.

* WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, There is general inundation of lowland in
  the Reedsburg area. The walking path adjacent to the river in Webb
  Park and Smith Conservancy is mostly covered with water.  The
  public works yard is under several inches of water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 13.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow morning to a crest of 14.1 feet. It will then fall
    below flood stage tomorrow morning.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    14.1 feet on 10/24/2020.
