.Discussion...High pressure builds across east central Florida
promoting dry and warm conditions through late week. Rain chances
remain mostly out of the forecast for today and Friday. Drier air
across the region will lead to fire sensitive conditions across
the interior through late week, with Min RH values falling between
35-45pct across the interior through the extended. Onshore winds
today increasing to around 10 mph in the afternoon as the sea breeze
passes. Lighter southerly winds expected to start the day on Friday,
with the inland moving sea breeze increasing winds to around 10 mph
out of the east during the afternoon. Generally Good to Very Good
smoke dispersion is expected through Friday.
Afternoon temperatures will continue a warming trend through late
week and into the holiday weekend, with highs reaching well into
the 90s by Friday and continuing through Memorial Day. Peak heat
index values climb to around 100-105F this weekend and perhaps a
little higher Sunday/Monday south of Orlando/Melbourne.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
