For the following areas... Volusia-Brevard County Line to Sebastian Inlet 20-60 nm... At 504 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 58 nm northeast of Sebastian Inlet to 29 nm east of Port Canaveral, moving northeast at 25 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and large destructive hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher waves, lightning and heavy downpours. Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets. Return to safe harbor if possible. Large hail could result in severe injury and significant damage to boats. Severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
