...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Sevier county.

* WHEN...Until 1130 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 931 AM EDT, Multiple rounds of thunderstorms yesterday and
    overnight have lead to rises on creeks and rivers across the
    county. County dispatch relayed that water was high enough in
    several locations to consider road closures. As such, minor
    flooding is likely ongoing in places or will begin shortly in
    the advisory area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Sevierville, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Pittman Center,
    Harrisburg, Elkmont, Wears Valley, Fairgarden, Roundtop
    Mountain State Park, Great Smoky Mountains National Park,
    McMahan, Kodak and Seymour.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
