...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN SEQUATCHIE...
NORTHEASTERN MARION AND CENTRAL HAMILTON COUNTIES THROUGH 345 PM
EDT/245 PM CDT/...

At 302 PM EDT/202 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm near Fairmount, or 9 miles south of Dunlap, moving east
at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Chattanooga, Dunlap, Soddy-Daisy, Signal Mountain, Walden, Lakesite,
Fairmount, Red Bank, Powells Crossroads, and Cartwright.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
