COUNTIES THROUGH 730 PM EDT...

At 647 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles southwest of Wartburg to near Rockwood
to near Athens. Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Knoxville, Oak Ridge, Athens, Lenoir City, Kingston, Sweetwater,
Rockwood, Loudon, Madisonville, and Farragut.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
east Tennessee.
