...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN BLOUNT AND NORTHEASTERN
MONROE COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM EDT...

At 521 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles east of Madisonville, moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Maryville, Smoky Mountains-Twentymile Creek, Smoky Mountains-Fontana
Area, Citico Beach, Tariffville, McGee Carson Peninsula, Talassee,
Cades Cove, and Happy Valley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM EDT for east
Tennessee.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
east Tennessee.
