Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms. The trough is accompanied by areas of significant thunderstorm activity. Developing low pressure will move off the northern Mid- Atlantic coast Wed night, then track NE across the northern portions later Wed night into Thu night while a secondary cold front moves E and SE across the waters. High pressure will build into the waters Fri and Fri night, then persist through Sat night.
