including the following area, Fulton and southeast Missouri,

Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to

...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 PM CDT THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, including the following
  counties, Alexander and Pulaski, western Kentucky, including the
  following counties, Ballard, Carlisle and Hickman, and southeast
  Missouri, including the following county, Mississippi.

* WHEN...Until 1215 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1126 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
    Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Cairo, La Center, Bardwell, Wickliffe, Mounds, Barlow, Mound
    City, Wyatt, Kevil, Olmsted, New Grand Chain and Blandville.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
