Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 110 mph Path Length /statute/: 22.26 miles Path Width /maximum/: 0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 05/27/2024 Start Time: 08:25 PM CDT Start Location: 1 SSE Grayville / White County / IL Start Lat/Lon: 38.2434 / -87.9907 End Date: 05/27/2024 End Time: 08:49 PM CDT End Location: 1 NW Fort Branch / Gibson County / IN End Lat/Lon: 38.2542 / -87.5849 Survey Summary: The tornado began near Grayville, IL and crossed the Wabash River into Gibson County ending near Fort Branch. The path was mostly marked by significant tree damage with many tree trunks snapped and hundreds of trees uprooted. A metal building sustained roof damage along the path. A second tornado may have developed just after the first one dissipated and that is being investigated.
