.Discussion...
Surface high pressure sliding to the east and increasing southwest
flow ahead of an incoming shortwave trough will promote broad
column warm, moist advection today. Expect slightly above normal
temperature and increasing mid to high level clouds while wind
remains light. The moisture boost will generally be offset by
higher temperature, meaning minimum humidity values are likely to
remain in the lower 30s.
Passage of the shortwave trough will promote areas of showers late
Saturday night into Sunday, with any thunderstorm likely limited
to south of I-70. Excessive cloud cover and rain cooled air will
result in below average high temperature.
