Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
1053 PM MDT Fri May 24 2024

...A RED FLAG WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR SATURDAY FROM 11AM TO
8PM FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONE 225...

.Discussion...

Dry, hot, and windy conditions will set in across the district on
Saturday, leading to widespread meteorological critical
conditions. However, fuels are currently only critical for parts
of fire weather zone 225, so highlights will be limited to that
area. A weak front will move south across the plains Saturday
evening/night, slightly cooling down the district Sunday and
Monday. Temperatures will warm again next week though at this time
fire weather concerns appear to decrease with more available
moisture.

Smoke dispersions will be generally poor tonight, and very good
to excellent on Saturday.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
