Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
306 PM MDT Wed May 29 2024

.Discussion...

Daily chances for showers and thunderstorms will continue for
the southeast mountains and plains each day through Saturday while
thunderstorms remain more isolated across the western mountains.
Best chances for wetting rains will be across the plains during the
evening and overnight hours, especially across the eastern counties
through Thursday night. Otherwise, expect warmer and drier conditions
for Sunday into next week. Winds will be breezy on Sunday with the
low afternoon relative humidity values as a dry system moves across
the mountains. However fuels are not supportive of critical fire
weather conditions due to green up.

Afternoon smoke dispersions will rise into the very good to excellent
range over the mountains Thursday and Friday and into the good to
very good range for the southeast plains.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
