.DISCUSSION...
A weak low pressure system bringing rain showers to the area slowly
crosses today. A thunderstorm is also possible today, mainly across
northeast Kentucky, southern West Virginia and southwest Virginia
this afternoon. Thunderstorms today are not expected to be
especially strong today, but locally heavy downpours are possible.
Light flow in the wake of the low pressure system and its rain will
be conducive for low clouds and areas of fog to form overnight
tonight.
Drier weather briefly returns for most on Monday as high pressure
assumes control, and temperatures significantly warm. Temperatures
will warm to near 90 degrees on Tuesday across portions of the
lowlands. The chance for showers and thunderstorms returns on
Tuesday, becoming more likely Wednesday and Thursday with a cold
front passage.
