Heavy rain from the past couple of days across southeastern West
Virginia has resulted in moderate rises on area creeks and streams.
Consequently, the Greenbrier River near Alderson will crest just
above action stage of 9.0 feet early this afternoon, then begin to
slowly fall.  Note, the river is not expected to rise anywhere near
the flood stage of 14.0 feet.  The maximum forecast stage is
expected to be around 9.1 feet.
