Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast
National Weather Service Seattle WA
258 PM PDT Sun May 26 2024

.SYNOPSIS...Cooler and showery conditions will be possible across
Mount Rainier National Park this afternoon as a frontal system
brushes the region. Upper level ridging will then gradually begin
to build east of the area Monday, allowing for drier conditions
and warmer temperatures at the park. The next frontal system is
will move across the region on Tuesday for another round of
showers, cooler conditions, and gusty winds at higher reaches of
the mountain. Drier and warmer conditions will be possible late in
the week as upper ridging builds offshore.

&&

.IMPACTS...Strong winds near the summit will make it difficult to
move safely and could produce local whiteout conditions Sunday and
again Monday night into Tuesday. A high level of skill and experience
in alpine terrain, including use of GPS, is recommended for navigation
and camping in these conditions.
