.SYNOPSIS...First wave in this atmospheric river event moving
through the park Monday morning. Second wave arriving later
tonight with the wave moving through Tuesday. Upper level ridge
building over Western Washington Wednesday through Friday. Ridge
shifting east Saturday with a weak upper level trough Sunday.

.IMPACTS...Stormy weather will create difficult mountaineering
conditions at 10,000 feet and above, with local blizzard-like
conditions, strong winds, and near zero visibility Monday through
Tuesday night. A high level of skill and experience in alpine
terrain, including use of GPS, is recommended for navigation and
camping in these situations.

Strong winds near the summit will make it difficult to move
safely and could produce local whiteout conditions Wednesday. A

.MONDAY...Breezy. Rain and snow in the morning, then showers in
the afternoon. Snow accumulation near Paradise of 1 to 3 inches.
Snow level near 5500 feet.

accumulation near Paradise. Snow level near 5500 feet increasing
to 8000 feet after midnight.
.TUESDAY...Rain and snow. No snow accumulation near Paradise.
Snow level near 7500 feet.
.TUESDAY NIGHT...Mostly cloudy with showers likely in the
evening, then mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers after
midnight. Snow level near 6000 feet decreasing to 5000 feet after
midnight.
.WEDNESDAY...Mostly sunny. Freezing level rising to near 9500
feet.
