At 746 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles west of Ava, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. At 745 PM, spotters reported quarter sized hail on the Douglas Christian county line. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles.
