383 FNUS75 KSLC 230820 SMFSLC Smoke Management Forecast National Weather Service Salt Lake City Utah 220 AM MDT Thu May 23 2024......Seaman .DISCUSSION...A cold front will push through the state today, with elevated transport winds maintaining excellent mixing across all air sheds, with the exception of west central Utah where mixing may be a bit restricted. This front will move north tonight, stalling across central Utah on Friday. A stable airmass on the north side of this front will limit mixing across most of northern Utah Friday afternoon, while south of the boundary excellent mixing can be expected. This front will largely remain in place through the weekend, as a couple of weather systems pass through the region. Cooler and more stable air on the north side of the front will continue to limit mixing across northern Utah through the weekend, while good to excellent mixing continues across the south.
