...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHERN FRANKLIN...JEFFERSON...
SHAWNEE...DOUGLAS...NORTHERN OSAGE AND SOUTHEASTERN JACKSON COUNTIES
THROUGH 145 AM CDT...

At 104 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Hoyt to Topeka to near Burlingame.
Movement was east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down twigs or small limbs and blow
         around objects. Minor damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Topeka, Lawrence, Baldwin City, Carbondale, Oskaloosa, Tecumseh,
Eudora, Richland, Auburn, Overbrook, Burlingame, Perry, McLouth,
Meriden, Scranton, Hoyt, Ozawkie, Lecompton, Clinton, and Lone Star.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 near mile marker 355.
 Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 164 and 205.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 AM CDT for northeastern
and east central Kansas.
