SOUTHEASTERN POTTAWATOMIE AND SOUTHERN JACKSON COUNTIES THROUGH 115
AM CDT...

At 1237 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles south of Onaga to 4 miles north of
Paxico to 7 miles south of Alma. Movement was east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow
         around unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Northwestern Topeka, Rossville, Alma, Eskridge, St. Marys, Dover,
Silver Lake, Auburn, Hoyt, Maple Hill, Mayetta, McFarland, Paxico,
Belvue, Emmett, Delia, Willard, Potawatomi Reservation, and Keene.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 between mile markers 329 and 355.
 Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 166 and 173.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for northeastern
and east central Kansas. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until
500 AM CDT for northeastern and east central Kansas.
