At 428 AM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly in northwest
Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma south of I44. Thunderstorms with
locally heavy rain were located in Latimer, Pittsburg and Pushmataha
counties in Oklahoma. The precipitation was in the Fort Smith area.
Movement was to the east at around 25 mph. The average amount where
it rained last hour was around one quarter of an inch with maximum
amounts of an inch and a half to two inches. Coverage, and intensity
increased during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for late
tonight and early this morning, cloudy, a chance of showers and
thunderstorms with temperatures 63 to 67 degrees and southeast winds
up to 5 mph.
