At 642 AM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly in northeast
Oklahoma and along and west of I49 in Arkansas. They were most
widespread and heaviest in Washington, Nowata and Creek counties in
Oklahoma. The precipitation was in the Tulsa area. Movement was to
the east at around 35 mph. The average amount where it rained last
hour was around one tenth of an inch with maximum amounts of three
quarters to around an inch. Coverage, and intensity increased during
the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for early this morning,
mostly cloudy, showers and thunderstorms likely with temperatures 61
to 66 degrees and northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
