At 457 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over St. Pauls, or 9 miles east of Red Springs, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... St. Pauls, Tobermory, Tolarsville, Duart, Jerome, White Oak, Rex, Rennert, and Tar Heel. This includes Interstate 95 in North Carolina between mile markers 25 and 34.
