414 NOUS41 KILN 081546 PNSILN INZ066-090400- Public Information Statement National Weather Service Wilmington OH 1146 AM EDT Wed May 8 2024 ...TORNADO CONFIRMED NORTHEAST OF BROOKVILLE IN FRANKLIN COUNTY INDIANA... The National Weather Service office in Wilmington OH is currently conducting a storm survey northeast of Brookville in Franklin County Indiana. The survey is in relation to the severe thunderstorms that moved through the area on May 7th 2024. A tornado has been confirmed in the area of the Hickory Woods Campground. The damage in this area is EF1 in nature, however the survey continues through much of today across Franklin and Butler Counties and additional damage may change the final rating. A final assessment including results of the survey are expected to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information Statement by this evening.
