...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 PM MDT THIS
EVENING FOR CENTRAL ROOSEVELT COUNTY...

At 932 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated rainfall had ended. No
further rainfall is expected in the warned area. However, runoff
from earlier heavy rains will continue to cause flooding of areas
roadways, creeks and low lying areas through the evening hours.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Portales and Floyd.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is
harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
