...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN ARMSTRONG...
RANDALL...SOUTHWESTERN CARSON...SOUTHEASTERN DEAF SMITH AND SOUTHERN
POTTER COUNTIES THROUGH 645 AM CDT...

At 556 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 15 miles west of Panhandle to near Amarillo to
5 miles east of Buffalo Lake. Movement was southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Amarillo, Canyon, Panhandle, Lake Tanglewood, Buffalo Lake, Bushland,
Washburn, Umbarger, Palo Duro Canyon, Mescalero Park, Dawn,
Timbercreek Canyon, and Pantex.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 27 between mile markers 91 and 123.
 Interstate 40 between mile markers 54 and 98.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
