.DISCUSSION...
A notable cold front this morning will increase wind speeds from the
northwest. While gusts may begin as early as 0900-1000L, peak gust potential
is expected 1200-1700L. Higher ridges surrounding the burn area could see
gusts around 30 mph at times today. Conditions will be significantly cooler
and slightly drier today compared to Thursday due to the front. Warmer, with
calmer southwesterly surface winds expected Saturday, then the next cold front
arrives late Saturday night with a period of breezy northwest winds expected
overnight/early Sunday morning. Much cooler temperatures Sunday compared to
Saturday, with higher humidity values returning.
