Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will impact the region today, mainly in the early morning in the east, then along the mountains & foothills this afternoon. The next in a series of Pacific disturbances moves inland Monday, bringing more showers and thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon and evening. An accompanying cold front is expected to bring strong west to northwest winds Monday night through Tuesday. Wind gusts in excess of 50 mph are possible along the western foothills, and it will become windy across the lower elevations by Tuesday (gusts of 40+ mph likely).
