Survey Summary: A severe thunderstorm moved southeast near Magnolia
Beach to Indianola producing sporadic wind damage. Initially, two
boats were capsized just offshore. An RV and shed were completely
destroyed along State Highway 216. A home along Brighton Ave lost a
few shingles and farther south along Comal St, a power pole was
snapped in half and others were damaged to a lesser extent. All damage
over land was strewn to the southeast, consistent with the straight-line
winds. A nearby anemometer along North Ocean Drive measured a wind gust
to 90 MPH. The worst of the damage was just southeast of that location.
