Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
225 AM MDT Sat May 25 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Isolated to scattered rain showers will limit concerns for any
elevated fire weather today. By this afternoon, gusty and erratic
winds are possible due to isolated thunderstorms east of the higher
terrain and Nebraska Panhandle, primarily from 1200 to 2000. Snow
showers in the Snowy and Sierra Madre mountains today are also
expected, which will limit fire weather concerns. Sunday will
have stronger wind gusts in the wind prone and gap areas of
southeast WY. Minimum humidity values will hover near 20% by the
afternoon.
