...The National Weather Service in Des Moines IA has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Iowa...

  West Fork Des Moines River at Estherville affecting Emmet County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation over the next 24 hours.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT TO WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The West Fork Des Moines River at Estherville, or from the
  Iowa-Minnesota border...to near Wallingford.

* WHEN...From late tonight to Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Extensive lowland flooding occurs
  particularly over the parkland areas near the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 9.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to flood stage just after
    midnight tonight. It will then fall to 9.6 feet tomorrow
    evening. It will rise to 9.8 feet early Sunday afternoon. It
    will then fall to 9.7 feet Sunday evening. It will rise to
    flood stage Tuesday morning. It will then fall again but
    remain above flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
