AVERAGE TEMPERATURES THROUGH THE SEASON WERE ON THE WARM SIDE DURING DECEMBER AND JANUARY. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR DECEMBER WAS 21.4 DEGREES WHICH WAS 9.5 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL AND JANUARY WAS 17.5 DEGREES WHICH WAS 12.1 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. AN ARCTIC OUTBREAK DURING THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY DROPPED THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH TO 5.3 DEGREES WHICH WAS 4.6 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL. OVERALLTHE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE SEASON WAS 14.7 DEGREES WHICH IS 5.7 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR THE SEASON WAS 23.1 DEGREES WHICH WAS 4.8 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 6.3 DEGREES WHICH WAS 6.7 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THE AVERAGE HIGHS AND LOWS FOR THE SEASON TRENDED THE SAME WAY WITH DECEMBER AND JANUARY ON THE WARM SIDE AND FEBRUARY BELOW NORMAL DUE TO AN ARCTIC OUTBREAK. PRECIPITATION FOR THE SEASON WAS WELL BELOW NORMAL. TOTAL PRECIPITATION WAS 0.78 WHICH WAS 0.96 INCHES BELOW NORMAL. THIS IS THE NINTH LOWEST SEASONAL PRECIPITATION TOTAL ON RECORD WITH THE RECORD OF 0.37 SET IN 2002. SNOWFALL FOR THE SEASON WAS ALSO WELL BELOW NORMAL. TOTAL SNOWFALL WAS 12.5 INCHES WHICH WAS 9.2 INCHES BELOW NORMAL. REMEMBER, THIS DATA IS PROVISIONAL AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
