205 FXUS65 KGGW 252017 AFDGGW Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Glasgow MT 217 PM MDT Wed Sep 25 2024 .DISCUSSION... KEY MESSAGES: - A cold front will push through early Thursday that will make for a windy day with some cooler air moving in. Gusts to 50 mph are possible. - Another cool front will move through Sunday with another windy period Sunday Night and Monday. - Dry conditions are expected. WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: Progressive upper pattern will shift a warm ridge to our east Thursday, allowing a cold front to slide through early in the morning. Mid-level winds could briefly mix to the surface early, then the general mixing will occur with the highest winds from noon till about 3 pm. Isolated gusts to 50 mph cannot be ruled out. A Lake Wind Advisory is in effect from 6 am till 8 PM. A minor note will be the overnight lows today and Thursday will be near record warm levels. Record for Glasgow today is 55 set in 2014 and tomorrow (Thursday) is 56 set in 2015. Things quiet down for Friday into the weekend with another cold front sliding through late Sunday. Winds will increase Sunday with windy conditions Sunday Night and Monday. Monday will be the coolest day with highs only in the 50s and low 60s.
