386 WGUS82 KGSP 182034 FLSGSP Flood Advisory National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg SC 434 PM EDT Sat May 18 2024 NCC111-182345- /O.NEW.KGSP.FA.Y.0073.240518T2034Z-240518T2345Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ McDowell NC- 434 PM EDT Sat May 18 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including the following county, McDowell. * WHEN...Until 745 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 432 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Area stream levels may rise rapidly over the next hour and some smaller streams could reach bankfull. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
