675 FNUS51 KGYX 250901 FWFGYX Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western Maine and New Hampshire National Weather Service Gray ME 500 AM EDT Sat May 25 2024 .DISCUSSION... Mostly sunny today as temperatures again warm into the 70s for much of the area. Mixing starts early, and this will lead to drying at the surface with RH values falling into the upper 20 to around 30 for much of the interior. Behind passing front last night, winds begin NW but shift WSW through the morning. Along the coast, a seabreeze will develop and push inland early to mid afternoon. This will also help in some RH recovery with cooler temperatures along the immediate coast. A round of showers arrives overnight into Sunday, but is not expected to be wetting. Some additional showers or thunderstorms develop Sunday afternoon, focused on southern NH. These will have the potential to contain heavy rain, but may be very isolated. The next chance of more widespread wetting rains arrives Monday into Monday night.
