471 FZUS61 KCLE 230837 GLFLE Open Lake Forecast for Lake Erie National Weather Service Cleveland OH 437 AM EDT Thu May 23 2024 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... High pressure 30.00 inches will briefly build over Lake Erie as a cold front slows over the Ohio Valley today. The front will lift north as a warm front Friday and cross the lake Friday night as low pressure 20.60 inches tracks northeast across the Upper Midwest. The low will sweep a cold front east across Lake Erie Saturday with the front lifting north as a warm front as low pressure 29.40 inches moves northeast from the Central Plains into the Mississippi Valley Sunday. The low will track across the central Great Lakes Monday, likely pushing a cold front across the lake.
