807 FZUS63 KMKX 040204 GLFLM OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI 904 PM CDT Mon Jun 3 2024 FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan. Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... A low pressure trough around 29.4 inches will cross the Northern Plains into Minnesota tonight through Tuesday. Dense fog is possible over the north half tonight, but there is not enough confidence to issue a headline at this time. Southerly winds are expected ahead of the associated cold front. Showers and thunderstorms are expected through late tonight and again Tuesday afternoon and evening. The cold front will cross Lake Michigan early Wednesday morning and the widespread showers and storms will end. Winds will veer westerly and scattered showers are possible each afternoon through the weekend. Westerly winds continue through the end of the week as low pressure over south central Canada weakens to around 29.4 inches.
