...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  Minnesota River at Morton affecting Redwood and Renville Counties.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Lac qui Parle, Chippewa
  and Yellow Medicine Counties.

.River levels rose slightly at Morton and Montevideo over the past
24 hours due to light precipitation in the region. Additional
scattered showers are possible tonight and again on Monday, but
precipitation amounts will average less than one half inch. As a
result, steady or slowly falling river levels are expected through
mid week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL SATURDAY, JUNE 01...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Minnesota River at Morton.

* WHEN...Until Saturday, June 01.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Riverside Rd and Front Street flooded in
  North Redwood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 700 PM CDT Saturday, the stage was 21.6 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 700 PM CDT Saturday was 21.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.7
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
    flood stage Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    21.9 feet on 04/04/2007.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Minnesota River at Montevideo.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Low lying areas and some roads along the
  river begin flooding, along with some basements of houses along
  the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 700 PM CDT Saturday, the stage was 15.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 700 PM CDT Saturday was 15.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to remain steady around 15.0
    feet through Monday evening, then begin to slowly fall
    through the remainder of the week.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    15.0 feet on 03/24/1966.
