...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL RHEA...SOUTHWESTERN
LOUDON...NORTHEASTERN MEIGS...NORTHEASTERN MCMINN AND SOUTHWESTERN
ROANE COUNTIES THROUGH 1100 PM EDT...

At 1016 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Spring City, or 8 miles northwest of Decatur, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Sweetwater, Spring City, Niota, Paint Rock, Peakland, Murray Store,
Ten Mile, Piney Falls State Park, and Stinging Fork Falls State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
