Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Helene is near 23.1N 86.6W at 11 PM EDT,
and is moving north at 8 kt. Maximum sustained winds are 75 kt
with gusts to 90 kt, and the minimum central pressure is 972 mb.
Helene will move to 25.4N 86.1W Thu morning, 29.5N 84.5W Thu
evening, then move inland and weaken to a tropical storm near
34.3N 84.7W Fri morning. Tropical Storm Helene will become an
extratropical cyclone near 36.7N 87.1W Fri evening and be over
the southeastern U.S. Sat morning.

...HURRICANE WARNING...

.OVERNIGHT...HURRICANE CONDITIONS. E to SE winds 50 to 55 kt,
becoming SE 65 to 75 kt after midnight. Seas 16 to 21 ft.
Numerous showers and isolated tstms. Vsby 1 NM or less.
.THU...HURRICANE CONDITIONS EXPECTED. S winds 80 to 100 kt. Seas
20 to 30 ft in S to SW swell. Numerous showers and isolated
tstms.
.THU NIGHT...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS EXPECTED. SW winds 50 to
60 kt, diminishing to 25 to 30 kt after midnight. Seas 15 to
25 ft in SW swell, subsiding to 10 to 15 ft in SW to W swell
after midnight. Scattered showers and isolated tstms.
