.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Helene is well inland in the
southeast US. Winds across the NW Caribbean are gentle to

Synopsis for the the SW N Atlantic including the Bahamas

.SYNOPSIS....Tropical Storm Helene is inland near 35.1N 83.8W at
11 AM EDT, and is moving north at 28 kt. Maximum sustained winds
are 40 kt with gusts to 60 kt, and the minimum central pressure
is 975 mb. Helene will weaken as an extratropical cyclone near
37.3N 85.6W this evening, move to 37.5N 86.5W Sat morning, 37.5N
86.4W Sat evening, 37.5N 86.1W Sun morning, 37.6N 85.7W Sun
evening, and dissipate Mon morning. Winds off the Florida east
coast will improve this afternoon into tonight, with seas
subsiding below 8 ft by tonight. Elsewhere, Hurricane Isaac is
near 37.4N 46.8W at 11 AM EDT, and is moving east-northeast at
16 kt. Maximum sustained winds are 65 kt with gusts to 80 kt,
and the minimum central pressure is 981 mb. Issac will continue
moving away from the area, but generate N swell that will
propagate into waters N of 30N and E of 60W, producing seas near
8 ft today.
