* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southwestern Williamson County in southern Illinois...
  Southeastern Jackson County in southern Illinois...

* Until 815 PM CDT.

* At 744 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Cedar Lake
  Area, or near Carbondale, moving east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Carbondale, Marion, and Makanda.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 24 in Illinois near Mile Marker 1.
 Interstate 57 in Illinois between Mile Markers 44 and 47.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for southern
Illinois.
