The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northwestern White County in southeastern Illinois...
  Wayne County in south central Illinois...
  Hamilton County in south central Illinois...
  Eastern Franklin County in south central Illinois...

* Until 900 PM CDT.

* At 738 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 7 miles west of Helm to 7 miles south of Woodlawn to
  Elkville, moving southeast at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  West Frankfort, Benton, Fairfield, Mcleansboro, Zeigler, Norris
  City, Wayne City, Cisne, Enfield, Thompsonville, Dahlgren,
  Jeffersonville, Orient, Hanaford, Freeman Spur, Sims, Mill Shoals,
  Broughton, Springerton, and Mount Erie.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 57 in Illinois between Mile Markers 62 and 71.
 Interstate 64 in Illinois between Mile Markers 92 and 120.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for south central
and southern Illinois. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until
100 AM CDT for south central and southeastern Illinois.
